PROJECT APPROACH / BJLC

From brief to engineering handover.

Align the technical scope, interfaces and verification conditions before implementation.

01

Task and existing conditions

Describe the purpose, existing equipment, signal or data inputs and outputs, and budget, timing and site constraints.

02

Scope and interfaces

Define responsibilities for components or modules, software, control, power and mechanical integration. Identify anything that still requires verification.

03

Implementation and checks

Agree samples, revisions, check conditions and acceptance criteria. Where site verification is needed, define equipment, personnel and recording arrangements in advance.

04

Documentation and support

Organise configurations, interface notes, software revisions and user material into a handover directory, with later changes and support scoped separately.

BEFORE THE NEXT STEP

Resolve the open questions
before the next step.

Different scopes need different checks, documentation and delivery arrangements. Keep a separate list of unresolved questions and agree how each will be handled.
